Nellie Fitzpatrick, the current Director of Philadelphia’s Office of LGBT Affairs and former Philadelphia Assistant District Attorney, will be awarded the 2016 PoWeR Award at the 14th Annual Professional Women’s Roundtable Anniversary Event.
Every year, PWR presents the PoWeR Award to a woman, or group of women, in the Philadelphia community who is a trailblazer, committed to diversity and inclusion—someone who deserves to be recognized for her contributions to the community by serving as a role model for emerging women business leaders.
Fitzpatrick was appointed as the Director of LGBT Affairs in January 2015 where she serves as an advisor, an educator and a proponent of diversity and inclusion in our community. As a leader, she empowers the LGBT community through her efforts to further the systemic change needed to bring an end to acts of violence and discrimination. Fitzpatrick previously was the LGBT liaison in the District Attorney's Office, where she served as an assistant district attorney and prosecutor in the Family Violence and Sexual Assault Unit.
Join us for heavy appetizers and drinks to celebrate our 2016 PoWeR Award winner, Nellie Fitzpatrick, and her contributions to Philadelphia.
